The Democrats in congress seem much more willing to compromise and get things done than the Republicans. Meanwhile, I agree completely that the Republican faithful will believe that Romney lost for being too moderate (one of the great oxymorons of our time), assuming a Romney loss.

How one can possibly believe that moving to a position that is closer to the bulk of the voters is a losing proposition I have yet to understand. I just know that it seems to be happening. I saw it in 2008-2009. I wonder what McConnel’s first priority will be if Obama wins. Make sure that Obama doesn’t get to pass anything in his second term, perhaps?
