Almost anytime I’m out in public I’m a little shocked at the degree to which being overweight (to put it mildly) has become the “norm” for Americans. The sheer amount of processed food is part of the problem but personal choices also play a role. When I grew up it was relatively rare to encounter greatly overweight people and it seemed there were almost no overweight children or teens. Times change, sometimes not for the better..
