Its starting to look like the Supreme Court is going to get involved now. Could be the big showdown conservatives have been waiting for since the conservative Supreme Court will surely uphold the tradition of the marriage between one man and one woman.

I’m actually a big fan of divorce as an institution. I think it makes marriage stronger when it’s something you want to be involved in instead of a de facto life sentence. But how about every couple, regardless of the genders of the two involved, get a marriage license? And then be able to get a divorce if they need one?

I’m going to bring up my comprise for the gay marriage issue. For every 10 straight couples that get divorced, we issue 1 gay marriage license. Gay people would have all the licenses they could handle from those who truly make a mockery of the institution of marriage.

Well…that sounds positive, I think. I’m sure an appeal will be filed, although California has refused to defend this constitutional amendment in court. The case was defended by Prop 8 supporters, and a truly miserable job they did of it. Of course they ruled unanimously.

So, we’ll see.
