Quote of the Day
The quote of the day comes from Margaret Carlson at Bloomberg.
The issue is not whether Romney as president will contradict the positions of Romney as candidate. Of that we can be confident. But Romney is a man with no fixed positions from which to deviate. It’s harder to accuse someone of intellectual hypocrisy when you don’t know where he stood in the first place.
That pretty well sums up Willard Mitt Romney. The only exception to this may be Foreign Policy and the military.

When this all started, I thought Romney would probably be the moderate that he seemed to be as Governor and as his father had been. I assumed (never assume) that he would follow in his father’s footsteps.
I am thankful for all the GOP primary candidates, first for the entertainment, and second for stripping away veneer to the bone as has seldom been done. They did the job our MSM should be and could be doing, but don’t.
Just now a couple of pundits are talking about how shallow John Edwards was, as they got to know him. I didn’t read anything like that while he was a candidate. Not even from his opposition (so much for any advantage to the electorate of money in politics).
