SD- How can you be so sure? Giuliani has already proven doubters wrong who were so certain that he'd be out of the race, once his socially liberal views were better-known. Also Democratic strategists have made no secret of the fact that they consider Giuliani their biggest threat in '08. They especially consider him a threat in a one on one race against Hillary.

I am also convinced that any serious contender for the Republican nomination has to try to get to the right of the others on foreign policy or domestic issues. Many of the views that Giuliani is espousing are mostly to attract big donors in the party and to keep conservative organizations from killing his chances.

Since Giuliani is not going to win the election or even come close, discussing his naive, empty suit ideas on foreign policy are moot.

Why are there no discussions on who will be the major players in the next Clinton Administration. What will her cabinet look like. Will she appoint accomplished, experience professionals or follow the normal method of appointing political hacks of all ethnic and racial groups in order to reward interest groups? Such a question is 100 times more important than any group tested, non-detailed campaign pitch from any Republican running for president.
