Not to worry. The effort to suppress minority voting will cancel out any possible Republican black voters.

Whether the President can count on the youth vote, in part because of his wobbly stance on same-sex marriage, may be a bigger problem than even he knows.

You do not garner support by bringing up the negatives in each place that you go. Did he express support for the bill? If not, then it is the same as going to Notre Dame and not bringing up his support for abortion. Why antagonize your audience, particularly on a subject on which you have no authority to change things?

Well, the “youth vote” is still overwhelmingly in Obama’s corner (30 and younger) however signs indicate that vote will be less well represented this time around. The desire for instant gratification works against Obama here – and not only among youth. When people aren’t happy they want to punish anyone they think is responsible, even when they’re wrong.
