I used to join in some lively discussions at the buzzmachine in the past, but the blog has become so lame recently that I stopped reading it. One thing you never hear him admit in public is his role at DOD, working with Donald Rumsfeld on the plan that eventually was used in the Iraq war. Then, in an interview on Fox last year, he claimed we were already in the midst of WWIV- counting the Cold War as WWIII. He was a fervent supporter of Bush/Cheney until he realized their policies were driving the Republican party off a cliff. Nutty Newt has been on all sides of this issue. Nancy Hanks ain't got no clue. Of yourse, YearlyKos is partisan! So what? Nobody, except maybe Nancy, thought this would be a hotpot of independent bloggers. If she's thinking, it should be, nobody keeps her from organizing one. And as for the somewhat 'greenish' talking point that decision are made in an inner circle of Dems: Yup, surely the candidates decide, with a lil help from some aides, what plans and policies they want to focus on in their campaign. But to say, that YK has no impact on these decisions is essentially the same as saying the candidates go there just for the fun of it. Ridiculous!
