I read somewhere that 77 percent of the mentally ill live in poverty. Actually, I’m more intrigued by the 23 percent who are apparently doing quite well for themselves.

Some 101 times by a friend's count beginning in 1969 with time out for a little three-year visit to the Far East, and then many of their East Coast shows from 1972 to 1978, as well as all of their 1976 shows in S.F. I also saw Jerry with Old and in the Way (see hilarious sidebar post here at my blog) and many times in his various Jerry Garcia Band incarnations. Yes, I killed a few brain cells, but there were a goodly number of memorable moments.
