Very well wrtitten post, even providing the necessary comic relief.

What’s even worse, Gonzales seems to also be a flop as the source for a barrage of comments at TMV.
Gonzales, oh yeah, can’t remember, confilcting testimony, same old same old.

Because he knows that with Bush at his back he doesn’t have to. This crew knows no shame and only act on what can be enforced by law (though Bush, Cheney, Rove and Gonzales have already shown disrespect for that as well). The only thing they respect is raw power.

What I cannot get over is the lack of embarassment by Gonzales. He looks like an idiot at each one of these hearings. Has he no pride left? Why doesn’t he just resign rather than making a mockery out of himself and the institution of the Justice Department?
