		<description>Great post and I have to agree. The same dogmatic inflexibility that some loyal Republicans see as resolve, Democrats and Independents see as unreasonable stubbornness. The president has clung to people and policies long after they have been proven to fail, and has framed all criticism of him as partisan witchhunts. 

He has governed narrowly for the base, who with few exceptions have stood by him, even though  the rest of the country  long ago tuned  him out and turned  him off. Bush has made no pretense of trying to reach out to the 3/4 of us who disapprove of his administration. His party will suffer the consequences, as will his precious legacy.</description>
