domajot, you gave me an idea. That's just such an excellent idea to have an Osama double to dress up.

Jilly Dybka, I agree; I sense he is either very ill or dead, for it seems he would surely have appered; he loved being the 'holy man on camera' loved it so much that it would be odd for him to desist.
He is/was said to have diabetes. Without adequate insulin, his kidneys, would be damaged, his eyesight would go, the neuropathy of legs and bladder would render him with sores not healing and incontinence. Diabetic coma would live hanging over him. I can imagine people smuggling insulin to him. But I can also imagine that if it is true, he has that, even poeple living down the road from a grocery of fresh foods and docs, and across from a hospital struggle with being diabetic... so.

Those are also some ironic quotes. And gave me pause to think about why we even have Boggeyman. Every mythos does, the Buddhists, the Jains. I was just thinking the edge of a questions, why really, do we need a big bad image...if... the psyche loves to deal in projection almost more than anything else? hmmm. Thank you both for this time to think together.

Also, I would just mention something I learned from the Bruderhoff Community of religious. SOmething we do regularly, similar to Killy and her sister. We just sit in a circle and ask one question... What can we do?

We try to answer that, then do it. Then next time, ask it anew. It, as you say, 'keeps the air moving' with action, gesture.

I like to think that I may not be here to do great things, but to do small things with great craft.

Hang in there,
dr.e.

Where do we start? My sister and I talked about this today and came up with light. As in exposure. Keeping the air moving so to speak. Because what can I, someone in TN USA, really do about it other than acknowledge yes there are folks out there like that? Yes that behavior is reprehensible. I don't know what else.

I used to think that the environment that promotes the recruitment of people into those "cults" needed to be inherently poverty-stricken/ignorant. Bereft of material things and/or education. But the folks arrested in that Scottish incident were Drs. So I don't know now.

I grew up in Dearborn, Michigan, & you are right to mention honor. That is a big deal in the Mideast & unfortunately is being perverted by the cultists for their own power/recruitment and misguided goals.

Osama Bin Laden is more symbolism than anything else. -- Fred Thompson

Osama Bin Laden is our number one priority and we will not rest until we find him -- President George W. Bush

Osama Bin Laden is the face of evil -- Mitt Romney

Osama Bin Laden is virtually impotent other than these tapes -- Frances Townsend, President George W. Bush's homeland security adviser

(I think Osama Bin Laden is the boogeyman now. From the perspective of Westerners. And I suspect he is actually dead.)

I agree absolutely that binLaden's death would ensure that his symbolism would last forever
The question is, how can he be degraded while still alive?
I took it as a good sign that, apparently, some Muslims are questioning the correctness of his trimming his beard. It would be great if on his next video he appeared wearing a Texas cowboy hat.
We need an Osama double that we can dress up as we like!
