stevesturm- but your logic works both ways. The GOP was complaining about Clinton’s misuse of the military in Kosovo, and about his lack of an exit strategy, etc. Were they rooting for America’s defeat in that conflict?

This is Madness.

Having spent 25 years in the military. 3 tours in two wars I find both of these people RIGHT. I find both of these people WRONG.

The Democrats want to FAIL for political REASONS. The republicans want to succeed for Political REASONS and neither side gives a damn about whats really best for the country.

Forget talking points. This is Madness coming from both sides.

funny how people will abandon principles in order to score points. in this case, it’s webb who seems to be suggesting that the military gets to decide where and when they’re ordered into combat. was it that long ago Democrats were telling the military to shut up and just do/go where they’re told? I don’t remember a groundswell of military brass lining up in support of intervention in Kosovo or going into Haiti.

and Graham is not someone I’m fond of (he’s against torture!), but that was a cheap shot of Webb, throwing out the immigration issue. was that his way of saying because Graham was wrong on that issue, he’s wrong here as well? or because Graham took a beating on immigration, he’s not thinking straight on Iraq? Either way, a cheap shot.

I also think Webb did better. Of course I think that–I agree with him. But I’m sure people who agree with Graham will say he did better. The way it played out–neither even having the opportunity to make a point because they were talking over each other–was inconclusive.

Nobody ate anybody for breakfast. Nobody had the chance to do that.

I’d like to know what happened to the announcer. Did he fall asleep? He is supposed to keep them from talking over each other so they can make their points.

Or fail to make them.

Each accuses the other of playing politics. Each claims he supports the troops more.

There’s no real debate. They both just talk over each other.

There’s nothing here to convince any viewers to change their minds.
