Whatever happened to keeping people calm during emergencies? This seems like mindless fear-mongering when there probably isn’t an emergency.

nonspecific terror warnings

A few years ago, my ears perked up when during one such warning, it was stated that hotels in the area where this warning was issued were being asked to take an inventory of spare rooms and make rooms available if needed. Ugh. In a terrorism situation that means makeshift hospitals. There ought to be more specific things known and broadcast before the hotel subject is broadcast. (If the government is trying to surprise and foil an attempt, nothing should be broadcast, nothing released to the media.)

And to think that by 2020-2030 our two main welfare programs (Social Security and Medicare) will already be making us tear our hair out dealing with the costs and other problems…

(California a nightmare with alien politics like Massachusetts, gone gargantuan? Secession? What about the inverse or reverse, expulsion?)
