Two articles at my own blog that might interest (some of) you:
- Dems Attack Thompson: The Politico has an article up, claiming that the DNC has decided to go after Fred Thompson. As far as I am concerned it is all part of the game and, one thing that bugs me about Thompson: I simpy do not think that he will be a good President. He might be able to win the Republican nomination – who knows – but that does not make him a good president of the most powerful nation in the world.
- Useless Provocations: Gates of Vienna published a video of a burning effigy of the prophet Mohammed. Danes burnt the effigy as some kind of retaliation for the reaction of much of the Muslim world to the Danish cartoons. To read my thoughts on the video click here.
Michael,
I’m not sure which pawn of the military-industrial complex, right-wing noise machine, Bible-thumping theocracy I might be supporting yet, but I tend to agree with the Captain’s Quarters comment that to start swift-boating a guy who hasn’t exactly beaten down the door to even declare candidacy yet doesn’t exactly convey he is as lame as the opponent authors would like you to believe.
The so-called “inside lobbyist” article making its way around the liberal blogs of late is authored by one Travis Loller, a recent addition to AP stringer-hood and a recent Zapatista sympathizer in Mexico.

The DNC must be on a strict budget……you would think they could pay for someone a little bit more conventionally credible to wield the hatchet.
This internet is a great thing……resourceful bloggers can report the color of people’s underwear in a matter of minutes. MSM is just so yesterday.
Yes, effigy burning is pretty useless, and ill-advised, to boot.
What would really make a statement is the re-showing of The Life of Brian. We could have demosntrations and arguments galore – but no riots. That would send a much stronger message about freedom of speech.
