McCain does seem to have, what the people that have been buying the politicians we are allowed to vote for have, an incomprehensible drive to bring about the end of this once great nation. Hopefully it does no good this time around.

The US has dropped 300 pounds of bombs for every man, woman, and child in Indochina, and 22 tons of bombs for every square mile in McCain’s heyday.

That is incomprehensible but little compared to the devastation of the loads of what he is dropping now on this once great nation.

Joe good post. I’ve got a post coming up about this myself as well (at my own blog), but I believe that McCain will not win the Republican nomination. I give him 0 chance of winning it. He made himself impopular among conservatives, later he made himself impopular among moderates.

Ed Morrissey makes quite a mistake in his reasoning by the way by saying that if Tancredo, Paul, etc. are still in, why would McCain drop out? He has more support than they have?

True enough, but there is one major difference: McCain is in it to win. Those other candidates are not in it to win – they are in it for different reasons, but winning is not one of them.

Nice post Joe.

I wouldn’t underestimate just how much conservatives disliked his campaign reform measures either. That already put the notion into their minds that McCain was not a member of the tribe, so to speak. His role in the immigration reform effort just went further in confirming his alien nature.
