Jim Satterfield said:

> Why don’t the thugs’ shirts say “police”
> in Farsi rather than in English?

Good point, DLS.

Thank you. I am curious. Why English?

(At least the shirts didn't say "BABY MILK PLANT" in English)

I'm confused.

If this is not advocacy for bombing Iran, what is ti advocacy for?
What is it we are expected to do to show our outrage? Write letters to the president of Iran?

This is what Iran is. It's a well known fact.

Horrible things are happening all over the world, even as blogs are written and comments are made. It's too bad that only a selected few instances and offenders are highlighted, while tohers get a free pass by outraged bloggers.

When is the last time a blogger wrote about what China ifs doing to Tibetans? Or some of its own people?

Jim Satterfieldsaid:We know that they are vicious barbarians wanting the Sixth Century to be resurrected in the 21st.

you are misinformed or too much under the influence of mainstream to say such a thing, I am sure you don't know anything about the history of Iran , surely the only things you know about the great Persian empire is from what you saw in the movie "300". My advice to you: search google for things you don't know "anything" about.

I have stated before that I think regime change from within Iran would be the ideal outcome, and we need to help that along. However with regards to Iran's nuclear facilities we have no choice but to bomb them.

Posts like Malkin's are the equivalent of "when did you stop beating your wife?" It would be like one of her critics posting pictures of, say, severely ill children and then wondering why Malkin never covers it - apparently, she doesn't care about sick children? No, that's stupid. I assume she does. She just happens not to focus on the issue.

I am with Jim on Malkin. I pretty much refuse to click on her web site, a decision I reached when I learned of her arguments for internment camps. Our state's senator (Inouye) is missing an arm due to his heroics in the European theater and she thinks it was the right to lock him up due to his ancestry. I don't need to study the opinions of one who believes this.

Joe- one toes a line, not tows it. To toe a line means to line up in formation precisely. To tow means to tug, like a tugboat.

You had to force me to go to Malkin's site, so full of additional BS instead of finding a link directly to the Iranian site as well? Why is Malkin full of BS? While I have to appreciate her showing the vileness that is Iranian morality enforcement I think she and her conservative brethren are just clueless about why it plays out in the media like it does, including her bringing Abu Ghraib into it.

Simply put, we already know how bad the Iranian government is. We expect it of them. We know that they are vicious barbarians wanting the Sixth Century to be resurrected in the 21st. So in an odd way it just isn't news. But we do not expect or want anything even vaguely resembling this kind of behavior from our government or its representatives, be they our soldiers, CIA agents or private contractors that the CIA has hired. We don't even want our government to be turning people over to governments that do this sort of thing with a Python-esque wink-wink-nudge-nudge. Or at least many of us don't. Some, like Malkin, don't really care. Never, ever forget her arguments supporting the internment camps for the Japanese during WWII.
