What we need are more &quot;What would you do?&quot; questions with well-informed follow-up questions when candidates respond with platitudes.  Only then  might candidates be held more accountable for their often overblown campaign promises.</description>

One problem is that positions on issues are a matter of opinion. Who&#039;s ahead on the problem of health care delivery would differ, depending on the reader&#039;s ideas. By contrast, polling results are based on hard facts, even if next week&#039;s polls give up a different set of facts. 

What I really liked, though, was at the end of your excerpt: I&#039;d like to know if candidates are &quot;saying stuff thatâ€™s not true&quot;.</description>
