Anyone think it’s more than a bit unseemly of him to be funded by big money? Wonder who he plans to work for, because it sure ain’t gonna be we the people, more like the same scum that currently own the gov. already.

Fred will have trouble in Michigan because Romney’s got the inside track. His father was Governor there and his name is still golden in the Michigan GOP. Fred Thompson will have better success in Tennessee and neighboring Southern states. The TN GOP all backed Romney at first and now they’ve all backed out and support Thompson. I don’t really blame them for doing that, Thompson being from Tennessee and all. But some of the sycophantic comments around here in the Tennessee press and blogosphere are downright amusing.

Fred has no leadership experience. Do we really want someone to spend the first 3 years of an adminstration trying to figure out how to lead? I dont think so. We need someone who has a proven track record on leadership and who can hit the ground running. That is not Fred D. Thompson and no amount of dramatics on his part is going to make people think that it is.

Michael- Jeb Bush jumped on the Romney bandwagon months ago. Thompson will do well with the Washington establishment and should pick up a lot of help from southern pols like Bill Frist, Howard Baker, Trent Lott and Rick Perry.
