CSPAN showed a (small)panel discussion hosted by Leon Panetta and featuring Billo and the Ragin Cajun. What was amazing is that both “gasbags” put aside their demogic side to actually discuss some issues. Billo is a character while on Fox. He puts Geraldo back on the journalism map.
Oh of course, it’s all secular progressives fault! Because this man MUST be a secular progressive and EVERYBODY knows that secular progressives have no morals and place themselves above everyone else.
And he has the audacity to quote Christian philosophy when vomiting that sort of prejudice and hatred. I find him offensive enough, but if I were Christian I’d find him even more abhorrent. Talk about twisting everything into your personal twisted crusade.
And there I thought that putting oneself above others is the purview of blowhard pundits, bad politicians and worse business executives.
I’d swear the man doesn’t believe what he comes out with himself- but that kind of propaganda goes over well when he demagogues he values voters. First conflate all evil acts of man and nature with secular progressives (Falwell and Robertson have used this tactic themselves). Then conflate secular progressives with liberalism and the Democratic party ala Coulter. The true believers will then see the only path to righteous living is to vote Republican in ’08.
