Gingrich’s Rider on Speaking Contract Required Two Bathrooms
People who are highly paid speakers and performers (even people who perform less than mega fees as grounds acts at fairs) often have “riders” in their contracts which specify things they insist on as perks. The Smoking Gun has HERE a copy of a Newt Gingrich contract.
It turns out he required two bathrooms.
Now, I always felt Newt had two FACES….but….

I dunno. Who would want two bathrooms with a one bedroom suite? Is there such a thing available? Those black magic markers sound a little suspicious, too. This is disturbing.
Since I don’t stay in suites at nice hotels I’m not sure how unusual it is. If you travel much and have visitors and buisness meetings in your room I could see the desire. Pretty much the same reason half baths are built into homes these days.
