A Note To Readers On TMV’s Unusual Upcoming Week

NOTE TO READERS: This will be an unusual week for TMV for two reasons.

(1) OUR NEW DESIGN should be in place by the end of this week. It better reflects what The Moderate Voice is now and what we hope it will become as we head into Election Year 2008. You may have already noticed that we have begun to phase in some new co-writers.

(2) MY OWN POSTS WILL BE LIMITED AND POSSIBLY NIL SOME DAYS THIS WEEK. Yesterday morning my father Richard Gandelman died in New Haven, Connecticut. I will be heading to Connecticut today for at least a week. I’ve canceled all events this week. I may post a little but my main reason for going there is to be there to console my mother, who was married to him for more than 60 years (and they were best friends).

Since I started TMV some three years ago, I’ve posted almost nonstop. I may not be able to post some days this week so more than ever it’s going to be a group blog.

FOOTNOTE
: Our donation period will continue through May 31st, and the post seeking donations will then vanish forever. If you’ve ever wanted to donate something to TMV, this is the time to do it. This will be my second trip from the West Coast to the East Coast in three weeks. I will do a special post on my father as a Greatest Generation parent after the funeral (there is no post about him on the Internet…yet).

my condolences Joe. It’s hard to lose a friend, mentor and father. I am just now starting to pull my life back together after losing my dad 2 years ago suddenly and tragically. Godspeed.
