A Marine Attends The Birthday Ball

Every year the Marine Corps celebrates the anniversary of the founding of the Marines with a birthday ball.

This was the first year that gay Marines could bring their loved ones.

Here is a truly special story about one Marine’s experience.

    What a great, touching story, Patrick (I haven’t read all the links yet).

    If this can take place in the United States Marine Corps, then I really think we may have finally turned the corner and made history on this issue.

    As someone who could not join the Military because I am gay, and could not reconcile the duties of a Military man and my own homosexuality through DADT, I am so glad to see that the repeal of this odious policy, which excluded gay servicemembers who were unwilling to bend the rules, is going well.
