  1. I still think signing Norquist’s pledge is an impeachable offense. Congressmen take an oath of office:

I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter: So help me God.

Sounds to me that they are making a pledge to an idea that isn’t in the Constitution. Does this count as “purpose of evasion”?

Seems like “purpose of evasion” to me. It’s also pretty much in keeping with 21st century GOP philosophy. Lucky for them gross stupidity isn’t a crime.

  3. Rcoutme

Stupidity is not a crime, nor is it a personal failing. Stupid people can’t help that they are stupid. Never the less, stupidity in the one universal capital offense. The punishment is death and the execution is carried out automatically and without mercy.–Robert. A. Heinlein from the Notes of Lazarus Long.

    Paraphrased from the same

Stupidity is not ignorance. Ignorance is not knowing something. Stupidity is knowing something and then not heeding what you know to be true.

Well the rich make their own civilization. They hire slaves to make it for them and bribe government to make sure the slaves remain slaves, poorly paid and indebted.

I would suspect that mastah is slowly but surely being exposed for the corrupt basterd he really is.

These Tea Party nitwits are domestic enemies that must be rooted out and destroyed.
