Wow, there were some interesting comments after Blackwell's very, shall we say, unscientific musings. One stated that many black people don't believe in evolution because they think Darwin was a racist.

Too few people pay attention to the important things, such as China's military build-up.

Polls... Schmolls!

For anyone paying attention assumptions based on polls… <i>i.e. "The Congress (32 approve / 53 disapprove - Fox - 5/15/07) is LESS POPULAR than the President (34 approve / 56 disapprove - Fox - 5/15/07)"</i> often have nothing to do with ‘political reality’.

Thinking people realize that MOST REPUBLICANS disapprove of Congress because of what they perceive as congressional lack of support for Republican policy and programs; and, MOST DEMOCRATS disapprove of Congress because of what they perceive as congressional lack of support for Democrat policy and programs.

Hell, I’m surprised that Congresses approval is as high as it is BUT George Bush is reigning (pun intended) “Pariah du jour”.

Jim,

No doubt you are in yet another "28% group" (lol!)

"Nearly two-thirds of those online respondents who detected bias in the media (64%) said the media leans left, while slightly more than a quarter of respondents (28%) said they see a conservative bias on their TV sets and in their column inches. The survey, which focuses on perceptions of the “old” and “new” media, will be released today at the PoliticsOnline Conference 2007 at GWU. It is also featured in the March issue of Zogby’s Real America newsletter, now available on www.zogby.com."
