A few days ago I posted a piece both at The Moderate Voice and The Huffington Post on the failed attempt by the notorious dentist-lawyer-birther, Orly Taitz, to have president Obama officially removed from the New Hampshire primary ballot.
It also mentioned the re-release by the Obama campaign of their limited-edition coffee (or tea) mugs with Obama’s mug shot on one side and a copy of Obama’s official birth certificate on the other side.
Orly Taitz must have taken it quite personally, because a couple of days later, there was this exhortation at Taitz’ web site, “World’s Leading Obama Eligibility Challenge Web Site:”
PLEASE, RESPOND TO THIS BRAIN DEAD OBAMA LACKEY, DORIAN DE WIND, FROM THE HUFFINGTON POST
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/dorian-de-wind/tolerate-the-birthers-wit_b_1103437.html
You can read the article, evidence and truth is not what Huffington post would be bothered with. Soviet style propaganda machine, artificially pushed up in ratings by the regime, is not published a word about the fact that Obama is using a stolen CT SSN 042-68-4425 in his tax returns, even though this number was never assigned to him according to e-verify.
Please, write to this Obama thug in Huf Post, provide the links to my testimony video. Even two and a half zombies actually reading Huf Post, should know the truth.
Well, it appears that, so far, not many have heeded Taitz’ diktat. Of the 16 comments at the Huffington Post, fourteen have been critical of Taitz and the birther movement; one is mine acknowledging some of the comments; and there is one that may have obligingly responded to Taitz’ exhortation to insult this braindead Obama lackey — this thug — but was “removed due to violation of Huff Post guidelines.”
Moreover, several of the comments point out how Orly’s “experts” don’t come even close to meeting the requirements and standards for Forensic Document Examiners, an expertise that is crucial in even beginning to prove some of the birthers’ outlandish claims, such as the “stolen” Social Security Number.
As a writer, especially of political commentary, I expect vitriol and insults to be hurled at me. Sometimes they bother me; sometimes they just flow off my back.
However, in this case, this veteran who has served his country meritoriously for 20 years to give Taitz and her ilk the freedom to call me a thug, I’ll just wear her remarks as a badge of honor and as a reward for my service.
Dorian you are such a vato loco, I swear. Continuan. Honor and duty; the creds are all yours. Know too that service for 20 years also gives freedom to others to call you… hermano. And mean it.
Dr. E
Although I don’t know what “vato” is, I am sure it’s something good — or funny. Either way it’s appreciated. (Also appreciate the “hermano” reference)
Hope you had a great Thanksgiving.
vato is a spanish colloquialism meaning where I grew up, something similar to streetwise, but in a way that has a sense of honor in the old school way.
thanks D and hope your thanksgiving was tasty and relaxed
Go Dorian! And thanks for your service to our country!
Congrats, Dorian.
My comment looks SPAMMY? Give me a break!
I guess I hafta remove the links, Not a problem, just copy and past the quotes into google and you will see they are REAL and from the Library of Congress!
Representative John Bingham 1862 (Cong. Globe, 37th, 2nd Sess., pg 1639:
“All from other lands, who by the terms of [congressional] laws and a compliance with their provisions become naturalized, are adopted citizens of the United States; all other persons born within the Republic, of parents owing allegiance to no other sovereignty, are natural born citizens. Gentleman can find no exception to this statement touching natural-born citizens except what is said in the Constitution relating to Indians.”
In 1866 while introducing bill H.R. 127 (14th Amendment) Jacob M. Howard (Author of the Citizenship clause) states:
“This amendment which I have offered is simply declaratory of what I regard as the law of the land already, that every person born within the limits of the United States, AND SUBJECT TO THE JURISDICTION THEREOF, is by virtue of natural law and national law a citizen of the United States.”
MEANING that they changed NOTHING with the 14th Amendment, only that they were declaring what was already the law.
The LAW he was referring to, was the Civil Rights Act of 1866 which states:
“Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That all persons born in the United States and not subject to any foreign power, excluding Indians not taxed, are hereby declared to be citizens of the United States;”
Everyone seems to forget the phrase “subject to the jurisdiction thereof”, which is why the Law/Amendment went astray. If you look at the congressional records, while they were debating the 14th Amendment, you will find the truth and you will see that the 14th Amendment has been 100% perverted!
What exactly did “subject to the jurisdiction thereof” mean to the framers of the Fourteenth Amendment? Luckily we have Sen. Lyman Trumbull, Chairman of the Judiciary Committee, author of the Thirteenth Amendment, and the one who inserted the phrase:
“The provision is, that ‘all persons born in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens.’ That means ‘subject to the complete jurisdiction thereof.’ What do we mean by ‘complete jurisdiction thereof?’ NOT OWING ALLEGIANCE TO ANYBODY ELSE. That is what it means.”
Sen. Howard concurs with Trumbull’s construction:
“I concur entirely with the honorable Senator from Illinois [Trumbull], in holding that the word “jurisdiction,” as here employed, ought to be construed so as to imply a full and complete jurisdiction on the part of the United States, whether exercised by Congress, by the executive, or by the judicial department; that is to say, the same jurisdiction in extent and quality as applies to every citizen of the United States now.”
Supreme Court Case Minor V. Happerset:
“At common-law, with the nomenclature of which the framers of the Constitution were familiar, it was never doubted that all children born in a country of parents who were its citizens became themselves, upon their birth, citizens also. These were natives, or natural-born citizens, as distinguished from aliens or foreigners.”
And last but not least:
Representative John Bingham of Ohio, considered the father of the 14th Amendment, confirms the understanding and construction the framers used in regards to birthright and jurisdiction while speaking on civil rights of citizens in the House on March 9, 1866:
“I find no fault with the introductory clause [S 61 Bill], which is simply declaratory of what is written in the Constitution, that every human being born within the jurisdiction of the United States of PARENTS NOT OWING ALLEGIANCE TO ANY FOREIGN SOVEREIGNTY is, in the language of your Constitution itself, a NATURAL BORN CITIZEN”
Good for you Dorian. Orly Taitz (the poor thing) ought to go back to where she came from, but she can’t…
They don’t mind stupid in “Green Acres”, they like it actually, but they won’t allow racist morons.
Que onda, vato?
The oddest part of this little rant by Taitz is the reference to “Soviet style propaganda.”
What she’s referencing isn’t even propaganda, let alone “Soviet style,” and you’d think she’d know better what with being born in the Soviet Union and all.
Come to think of it, I can’t recall any former Soviet citizen going out of their way to compare our media to that of the USSR.
Between this and the identification of a writer as a “thug,” I can only conclude that Taitz is slightly beyond completely nuts.
Hey Vato…
Dorian you’ve been an American for how many years now and you have never heard vato? You don’t run in Hispanic circles do ya?
My whole, and, entire perception of Dorian DeWind has just changed dramatically. You know there are varied methods and a distinct art to making Chili Rellenos and I am a connoisseur. May I recommend San Juan Capistrano, California, for a place to visit and taste the varied Chili Rellenos stunning flavors? While you are there, check out the mission. What the heck, why not check out the many many missions of California…and …associated rich and rewarding Hispanic history. In my opinion, it makes tex-mex seem, well, rather historically bland. California history in detail regarding Hispania as well as California native Ameicans will blow you away.
Hey vato, keep up the good work.
