My “sigh” comes from the fact that people can’t help themselves enough to report a story without embellishment. No, Rick Perry does not think Nancy Pelosi is running for president. He challenged her to a debate, a rather unorthodox and surely hollow gesture, but nowhere did he say that the debate would be “presidential”.
There are plenty of crazy things to talk about regarding the GOP field without making up stuff.
It is beyond unorthodox. It’s as dumb as the call for eliminating parts of the government just because it sounds good when he has no idea what those departments do.
