There is not a human in the whole of the US that lives outside their sect compound that they do not qualify as a f#g-lover. I disliked Falwell a great deal, but he was a sister of mercy compared to these freaks. Sense of irony aside, I still hope they get zero publicity and in that light a question for bloggers:
Do you question how much of a good idea it is to give publicity to these guys by posting about their disgusting activities? Mind you, I can think of arguments in favor of doing so (putting the spotlight on evil in order to fight it, because like it or not, it is a part of the news) but my impression is that these people feed off two things; hate and attention, and it might be a good idea for everyone, including the blogs, to start denying them at least one of their sources of nourishment. Thoughts?

Who pays for the Phelps family security when they picket funerals?
Surely local law enforcement has to ensure no one decides to retaliate. Do they charge Phelps for this protection? And if not, why?

Lynx, that’s a valid question.
The Phelps crowd deserves a front row seat at the funeral. Much of Falwells rhetoric was just toned down versions of the Phelps crowd.
