Somebody,

In 2001 Al-Qaeda was a loose but centrally controlled outfit headed up by Bin Laden in Afghanistan.

Today Al-Qaeda is a de-centralized international machine with many, many more members in countries throughout the ME and Asia. So,yes, there is an Al-Qaeda in Iraq which was started after our invasion and continues to grow thanks to our occupation.

Which is what many many experts claimed would happen if we went after Saddam "rat bastard but hates Al Qaeda and had nothing to do with 9/11" Hussein instead of Osama "continuing to enjoy the fruits of the worst presidential decision making in U.S. history" Bin Laden.

Try educating yourself about our enemies before making comments about the situation. American servicemen are wasting their lives thanks to your ignorance.

Yesterday, al-Qaeda-that’s-not-in-Iraq issued a press release - boasting of having taken three American GIs captive in Iraq, and threatening to kill them if U.S. forces continue to hunt for them.
Somebody,

You appear to think passing Al-Qaeda PR BS off as truth is O.K.. Is that because you think they're honest and honorable enough to be believed or is it because it feels like a good talking point?

I hope you understand that others might choose to wait for a second source before believing anything that comes out of the mouth of anyone claiming to be "Al-Qaeda".

The 'Bushies' have been telling us for years that Al-Qaeda is nothing more than a pack of liars? Could it be you're begining to have second thoughts about George Bush and his war.

Notice that Al-Qaeda has even set up a provisional

ISLAMIC STATE of IRAQ

But of course we know that Obama and Reid and Pelosi want to bring the troops home so we can then go get Al-Qaeda where they really are.

They are all hiding out in the CARGO containers in our ports and the only hope for America's survival is the hiring of the AFL/CIO to search out and destroy the Al-Qaedaians hiding in the cargo containers.

Yesterday, al-Qaeda-that’s-not-in-Iraq issued a press release - boasting of having taken three American GIs captive in Iraq, and threatening to kill them if U.S. forces continue to hunt for them.

“Your soldiers are in our hands . . . What you are doing in searching for [them] will lead to nothing but exhaustion and headaches,” said the online statement from the Islamic State of Iraq - one of al Qaeda’s Iraqi incarnations.

The warning recalls Pelosi’s words from 2006; she said she felt “sad” over President Bush’s insistence that al Qaeda is operating in Iraq.

Or Reid, who recently called on the president to “change course [away from Iraq] and turn our attention back to the war on al Qaeda and their allies.”

“How sad for Her.”
