While here on “The Liberal Voice” the book by Tenet is just an excuse to bash Bush (pun intended in this cartoon’s case), many of us are upset with Tenet, and that includes other former CIA employees. It’s sick that Tenet is now coming out with his own book, and no, he shouldn’t profit from it any more than O.J. Simpson should from any tell-all book.
It’s also disgusting that now we see more than ever a separate elite class of people in Washington, which is far too large and powerful, a class of people who exploit their overly long times in Washington (Americans want term limits!) to the point where they exploit and profit from their time spent there more than have a valid story to tell people.
Actually, Tenet bashed Cheney and Condi in the book, but is still largely loyal to Bush. To me he is the CIA’s Alberto Gonzales- he got too loyal and too close to Bush and lost his independence and objectivity. If he’s that remorseful about helping to start the Iraq War fiasco, let him give his medal and some of that 4 million $ advance for his book to wounded US veterans. He owes them that much. Many in the CIA are bitter about the way he misused their intelligence to make Bush and Cheney’s case for them.

On a lighter note, am I the only one who, on seeing the cartoon, started thinking of the song “Whoops upside your head say whoops upside your head”?
