Laws Against Beating Blacks: The New Slavery
Family Research Council: Hate Crimes law violates the 13th (and 15th) Amendments. Those would be the anti-slavery and right to vote amendments.
Idiots.
To be clear, there is a valid 1st and 14th Amendment objection to these laws, and the FRC did mention the 14th amendment (not the 1st, though, which seems the most obvious). The issue isn’t whether the law is ultimately constitutional or not. The issue is what mind-contortion makes the Hate Crimes bill violate the right to vote. I mean, to quote Zapp Branigan: “You must of smoked some bad granola.”

Really? I was thinking Guarantee Clause.
What about threats? Speech inciting riots against a race or ethnicity? Speech enticing people to harm others? What about nappy headed ho? This is hate speech and should be illegal.
Y’know it strikes me that there are some Americans who would have very great problems living in NZ.
After all, our (world champions to be) mens’ rugby team is the All Blacks. The football team that went to the World Cup all those years ago was called the All Whites. Our womens’ (and current world champion) netball team is the Silver ferns. Our (several times world champion) mens’ softball team is the Black Sox. The current (and several times more) womens’ world champion rugby team is the Black Ferns.
And so it goes…

Before these idiots say any more stupid things, I say lets have open season on FRC. Will they change their tunes after a few whippings. spare the rod spoil the James Dobson’s and Tony Perkin’s.
probligo- well we wouldn’t name our teams like that- but we do have teams named the Washington “Redskins” and the Cleveland “Indians”.
