I care about the actual facts being out there instead of a smear based on falsehoods. The Politico has two stories today based on the smear instead of the facts.

Ezra has the right slant, Joe, and at the same site you link to, Neil has the lowdown on what actually happened.

Bottom line, Edwards didn't know it would cost that much, paid for the guy's travel as well as his services, the guy billed the campaign and the campaign paid for it, Edwards is reimbursing the campaign and admitted it was a mistake -- and fixed it.

Kinda refreshing actually -- a politician admitting and fixing mistakes. When was the last time you heard "I was wrong" from a politician?

(BTW, hi Joe. It's been a while since I commented here, but rest assured, I'm a loyal lurker.)
