Corrado, I wasn’t there in that cockpit today, but I can assure you your thinking is correct. Speaking as one who has flown, there is an “un-written” rule in the world of pilots. You don’t hurt people on the ground if you can avoid it, even if it means taking your own life. Ejection is always a possibility. This young man stayed in that aircraft to protect innocent lives on the ground, and from what I have heard so far, he did a damned good job of it. He is a hero in my opinion, and I salute him with highest respect possible.

As for the comments posted by White Agent … I feel sorry for you. That you could make such flippant remarks after the loss of human life says very little about the Blue Angels, but a whole lot about you.
