  1. Nobody says:

This man is trying to show the world the Palestinian cause. To help the world understand their plight. And he gets kidnapped.

Now it makes you wonder. Or it does me anyway, what Mr. Johnston might have seen and was going to reveal to the world that would force Palestinians to kidnap him.

And if he saw what all journalists saw then why would they kidnap a journalist basically sympathic to their cause?

These always raise more questions then answers. The minds of terrorists work in mysterious ways. I hope they see fit to release this man who is really just trying to help get their message out to the world. Who with his reporting just might make the world a bit better place one day.

    nobody,

Clearly, this is another neocon hatched plot. The reporter was abducted by the CIA.

Ah, yes, the reliable Abu Mazen…

  4. White Agent says:

That’s an unfair accusation Holly. You know how incompetent Arab Arabs are. Are you trying to get the man killed?

  5. DLS says:

I’ve seen an unconfirmed report that the PA says the kidnappers want $5 million or they’ll either kill him or sell him to another terrorist group.

If true: Hmmm. Is this the PA’s new strategy now that it lacks cash due to sanctions due to its failure to stop terrorism?

  6. jdledell says:

I think the reason the PA is not trying to rescue Johnson is they value the man’s life. His death would be a public relations disaster. A rescue try would undoubtably involve a military type raid which woould probaly involve Johnson’s execution before the building was secured. If you want to save Johnson’s life – negotiation is the route to take.

  7. Nobody says:

Killing a journalist would do them great harm. Paying a ransom would get every journalist in the world put on the endangered species list.

I’m not sure what you mean by negotiating but paying anything for him is out of the question or journalists will never be safe again.

Yes and I wonder just how many journalists are offering money to film the execution right this minute?

You people speculate like innocent little children.
