7827. Okay…before we throw out the “baby with the bath water” and start a big debate on gun control, everyone needs to think about a couple of things. DRUGS in this country are illegal. How’s that going? I can guarantee if guns are taken away, the criminals will still have access to them no different than they do drugs. I am sure a handful of you can call someone and within hours have drugs, that is illegal. Why would guns be different. Not only to disarm this country would allow us to become sitting ducks to a terrorist nation. Do you have unprotected sex? and still there is aids, pregnancies, etc. NOTHING is 100% fail proof. Our country’s REVOLUTION WAR was won because our citizens had guns. The red coats could not win because each town had a militia. If all our troops were abroad and some terrorsit sleeper cell decides to overtake a town or community, are you safe? Are there enough police, etc to help? We never thought the terrorist would use our own transportation system to kill on Sept. 11, 2001. Why are we so stupid and think all is well. We educate our children about safe sex, drugs, etc. Why do we not educate them to proper gun handling and repsect for their uses. The boy scouts have done this already. Also, we are blaming IMUS’ actions on the media. How about the media, video game industry promoting violence. The games are horrible and if you watch tv you experience murder after murder. Gone are the days of family series like MASH, Coach, Touched by an Angel and so on. All the series say “VIEWER DESCRETION ADVISED” at the beginning. Why don’t you ask a Virginia Tech student if they would like to watch CSI or play a violent video game now? We are breeding a culture who does not care for the human life. AND then when something goes wrong we point fingers and practice damage control, instead of taking responsibility for the actions that promote these things. Seung Cho used his agency the wrong way. I feel so sorrowful for all the victums and their families of his VIOLENT choices, and I pray God comforts them…but let’s not lose our perspective on things. Ask the people in Sudan and Iraq how they would have all faired if they all would have been able to have a gun when an evil regime like Sadam Heussin and so forth was taking control of their lives. I bet they would have been able to defend themselves. SO again before we start thig gun control CRAP, let’s ask our selves again how the DRUG WAR, GANG VIOLENCE in LA and elsewhere is going…and remember these are all illegal. We as society do not need GUN CONTROL. We need laws that if you use a gun in a crime you face capital punishment for murder and become stiffer laws on the consequences of your actions. No more plea bargains, etc. Ask a teacher how a no rules or lax rules classroom runs. NOT GOOD! WAKE UP AMERICA! My town had a shooting at the mall, Trolley Square in SALT LAKE CITY and children and families were murdered. It was horrible. I wonder if either of these people who killed did not go down and purchase a gun legally and the were not US citizen by birth either. So you must remember there is an industry, like the drug lords that sell this.WE NEED TO MAKE BETTER CITIZENS AND PEOPLE OF THIS NATION BY STOP BUYING ALL THE MEDIA’S CRAP AND VIOLENCE AND MAKE A STAND. START NOW and we can pray that out children coming up will be a loving, kind and cares for his fellowman. Most people are wonderful and if we can all work together to make a better place for the future it will be better. We just have to get busy. Remember “we reap the seed we sow”.

Everyone acts surprised. There are movies in the theatres, on tv and in our video games that have these exact scenarios. Have you ever paid money to view this and can you really walk away and say “Oh that was a good show?” and then on OSCAR night the country tunes in to watch who one, and to think they actaully give someone an award for writing this crap or playing a part. and they say “He’s a good actor”. Ask a VA tech if it is fun to play these parts in a real life scenario. Kind of IRONIC isn’t it. Now our shows are brought to you buy breaking news. Will these survivors get some merit for their ability to cope and view what most of you are paying for to see on the big screen that HOLLYWOOD produces? We care more about who stupid Ann Nicole’s father to her child is than trying to stop all the crap that the media is pumping out to our innocent childrens minds. And don’t forget that their “MEDIA” actions are protected and fall under that freedom of speech thing. We are all going to fall victims as a society for doing nothing about the sex, violence, racism and other crimes that are so casually viewed from what the media produces. We will have nothing but child molesters, rapists (thanks to the sex and porno industry), more murders and so on. “THOUGHT IS FATHER TO THE DEED”. That’s in the Bible. SO WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO ABOUT STOPPING ALL THIS? Go home after work and watch some more TV? There are sights and organizations that are forming to fight this media trash (onemillionmoms.com and onemilliondads.com). Are you strong enough to stop viewing? Do you think you will all miss out if it is not there? Have we become a society addicted to sex, drugs and violence? YES! Let’s get busy and start to create good and building environments for our future “THE CHILDREN ARE OUR FUTURE”. Volunteer your time and your means to kids that don’t have much and make a difference in thier lives. Give them hope for a better world. I don’t want to hear about poor. I am poor and I use public means to better my cause. The libraries in this country have a great resource of good media at our fingertips. You can reserve good movies and books for FREE to check out for your family’s viewing. We DO live in the land of opportunity and still this is the GREATEST COUNTRY on Earth. God Bless America!

There’s something very unsettling about this cartoon. I don’t like it. I can’t explain it exactly… It’s not the message, but rather the drawing itself. A lot of kids died that day and depicting one of the victims, however personally unidentifiable, just doesn’t sit well with me.
