WHEN BIGOTS BRAWL __ or, DEFENDING IMUS, . . . NOT!

    BUT, . . . now don’t get me wrong, I’m not siding with Sharpton either, because . . .

“David Horowitz at FrontPageMag.com had some strong criticism for Sharpton: The Imus lynching:

Don’t you just love the fact that Al Sharpton is leading the Imus lynch squad? There’s a certain appropriateness of course in that Sharpton is America’s most successful racist, having personally incited the lynchings of eight people, not counting the half dozen whose lives were ruined by Tawana Brawley’s lies.

    it continues . . .

“All over the country white comedians like Lisa Lampanelli, whose entire show is based on ethnic insults, must be cowering in fear of losing their jobs if they stumble over the wrong joke. There is clearly no bigger threat to free speech in this country than these racial vigilantes. The whole country is wondering to itself how it’s ok for black comedians to rag on nappy headed hos while Imus must be hung for it. Chris Rock I am sure, is not amused by this circus and I for one can’t wait to see how he deals with it in his next stand up. This is a spectacularly embarrassing moment for black Americans, one of many inflicted on them by Sharpton and Jackson and their misleadership of the so-called civil rights movement.”

    Rule #1

If a friend notices that their spouse is not exactly like those actors on television, don’t call the spouse fat/ugly/balding, etc …unless you hate them.

    Rule #2

If a friend complains that their kid is a screwup, don’t call them a loser…unless you hate them.

    Rule #3

If a friend calls himself and his family a failure, using perceived negative language you probably shouldn’t join in… unless you a) are provoking them to stop… b) you enjoy misery …or c) you hate them

There is no racial rule !

I am a black man. I would not dare share a joke that ridicules our differences in this country, because differences are OBVIOUS. I have enough baggage on my own to start trying to speak on everyone else’s. Americans need to stop being dumb, recognize that these people are being criticized because of using language that is not necessary in their reality.

Why should you need to use a language not realized by your surroundings ?

Problems begin with a root — this one starts with self-loathing within a dominant culture, but God knows that noone wants to talk about that !

He’s a shock jock, which means he’s pretty much a douchebag on the cellular level. This latest comment is nothing more than an extension of what the public has asked of him for decades by way of entertainment. He should get a raise, he should get awards, and they should all be paid for by the type of folks that listen in to him and pay his bills.
