Iraq: Chlorine Truck Bomber Kills 27

Once again bad news from Iraq: a “suicide bomber driving a truck loaded with TNT and toxic chlorine gas crashed into a police checkpoint in western Ramadi on Friday, killing at least 27 people and wounding dozens, police in the Anbar provincial capital said.”

Besides that terrorist attack, four Britons were killed yesterday in southern Iraq “in an attack that [...] had not been seen in the region previously. Maj. Gen. Mohammed al-Moussawi’s description of the deadly weapon indicated it was a feared Iranian-designed explosively formed penetrator.”

Blair responded furious to this news, indicating that he too believes that Iran support terrorist activities in Iraq.

  1. How convenient!!! One point agenda. Without any inquiry blame it on Iran!!! I have written so many times that if one carefully reads the history of Iraq and Afghanistan, no foreign power has managed to dominate these people.

They have a strange history…they always seem to be fighting. Be it a foreign invader or within themselves. So if an invader shoves his ruddy nose into their affairs/countries what else do you expect except bloodied nose, face or worse.

Their fightings do not come to an end until they have a strong/violent/brutal man – such as Saddam Hussein – and then there is a semblance of peace and order.

But the US administration thought it was clever and meddled in a royal fashion and destablised the area. So pay the price. So if you don’t believe in diplomacy then why not astrology!!!

Michael your link is just to a picture. What about the link to Blair’s statement. Anbar is in the Sunnis sphere, how are the Iranians involved in this?

  4. lol rudi that’s obviously not good. i wanted to use that image to accompany the article. will edit it.

It would be interesting if we could get an in depth interview with a Chlorine truck suicide bomber on his way to target. Nothing like those sweaty palms, nervous paranoiac responses, and, incomplete sentences to give the story that “bite” of reality in a good human interest story. The reporter could ride “shotgunâ€? and field questions: “where did you grow up?â€?…. “what did you like about school?â€?…. “do you like your current job?â€?…… “is killing all that important to you?â€?….

Pulitzer prize stuff. Any takers? Swaraaj?

The UK was the first country to see the EFP. Some EFP’s were shipped back for analysis by British government scientists. They found no conclusives evidence of a sophisticated IED manufactured in Iran. The evidence of direct material support of sophisticated weaponry is political spin, like yellowcake and imminent nukes.

  7. Nobody says:

And they say their are no WMDS in Iraq.

  8. White Agent says:

Nobody- WMDs don’t kill people. People kill people.

  9. Nobody says:

White Agent Wow did you think that up all by yourself?
