Despite currently being 8th in my NCAA pool, I am one of just two people (the other being the current leader) who could possibly win. Why? Because, incredibly, I was the only person in the entire pool to pick Ohio State to win it all. Several people have Florida, but nobody else has Ohio State.
If they win, I win. If Florida wins, the current leader (who picked Florida to win the championship) wins.
Everyone else can go home.

I’ve got the opposite. Only I chose Florida and everyone else chose OSU. Unfortunately, I am so far behind number 1, I can only leapfrog to the 2 spot. Woe is me.

Isn’t gambling illegal?
Only if money is involved (which my pool doesn’t have–its for pride, baby!).
But the IRS generally looks the other way on NCAA pools, as long as they don’t get too massive.
My pool gets banana bread.
