When it Rains…
Well, raining, even pouring: the U.S. attorneys controversy is rapidly evolving into a hurricane:
Multiple sources reported today that a top aide to President George W. Bush’s key adviser Karl Rove will soon step down from her job in the White House. The aide, Sara M. Taylor, was identified in yesterday’s hearing with a former top Justice Department official as seeking the resignation of a US Attorney in Arkansas. She could still face a subpoena, RAW STORY learned.
Last week, the House and Senate Judiciary Committees authorized subpoenas of Scott Jennings, a deputy to Taylor, who is a top aide to Karl Rove. A House Judiciary Committee aide told RAW STORY she could still face a subpoena today.
This is running completely out of hand. It’s amazing, astonishing that most of the problems have been created by the White House itself: by Gonzales, Rove, etc. Secrecy, lying, political games…
Meanwhile, Alberto Gonzales defended himself earlier today.
Alberto, what you doin’ man? Getouttahere. It ain’t gonna fly. Game over. Dude, where’s my car?
Okay, that last one didn’t make sense but the same can be said for Gonzales’ defense.

I’ve found that it is best to wait 24 business hours prior to believing anything reported by Raw Story.

It’s more the characterization I’m referring to.
The last half of a second term is traditionally time for White House staff to “cash in� by taking jobs elsewhere while retaining their contacts on the inside.
I don’t think her leaving is tied, as Raw Story would like to imply, to the Gonzalez matter.
Its a shame this witch hunt has claimed another victim-the virginal and loyal Ms. Taylor- Maybe she’ll spill the goods on Chubby!:)
