That's just what has been so disturbing about this whole mess. It appears to be some kind of scheme to replace nonpartisan prosecutors who have superlative credentials with political toadies whose main qualification might be that they agree with the president about Roe v Wade. Loyalists are moved through the system to get them into positions where they will qualify for federal judgeships.
