Too bad Gates was talked out of it by “The Usual Suspects”. Gitmo and Abu Ghraib have enabled enemies of this country to drag our good name through the mud. We look like hypocrites when we try to malign other nations for flouting the constraints of international law. The more I see of Gates in action, the more respect I have for him. He is about the only bright spot (except current Treasury Sec) in a Cabinet of fawning loyalists.
