A well written, and intense column at the Washington Post by Ayub Nuri, Iraqi, journalist, student. When the war against Iraq was about to start, Ayub was afraid. Not for the war – no, he feared that “George W. Bush might change his mind about overthrowing the Iraqi regime.â€?
Now, four years later, looking back, Ayub Nuri concludes that it has been a bitter disappointment. Life has, according to Nuri, not improved. Life might even have been better four years ago.

I read it and was very moved by his sincerity. Like a lot of the Iraq story, Nuri’s is just a small corner of a huge and still unfolding drama. What I was REALLY disappointed in was the comment section at the end of the article. I think America has lost the art of discussion – we can only yell and throw words at each other.
