Commenting issues for some

Hello TMV readers and commenters.

We are aware that some of your are experiencing issues when leaving comments such as comments not showing up. This was noticed before we added Sendlove.to functionality.

Our investigations have not turned up any errors on TMV yet. Currently, we are testing out different web browsers and configurations to try to repeat the error. But we are seeing more strangeness with Internet Explorer 8 and above currently. Some commenters have reported success by creating new profiles but we understand that can be a pain. Also the operations@themoderatevoice.com e-mail box is dropping lots of incoming e-mail for a long time. A support ticket has been opened with the provider on that issue.

We will be adding a trouble with TMV form on the site today that will allow you send in technical issues. We apologize for the frustration this is causing and will work to rectify all issues ASAP.

It may be a problem with IE8. I have no problem with Firefox but it took three tries in IE

That issue has me posting under a different username now (zephyr) and I discovered something interesting. When I would try to post (or edit) to let people know who I was (JaySpencer) my post would be rejected as spam – specifically this is the message I would receive:

“Your edited comment was marked as spam. If this is in error, please contact the admin.”

Even when I post under zephyr, my post will be rejected IF I include my old username anywhere in the body of the post! Interesting no?

  3. HMMM! That IS interested jay. In fact, that is extremely helpful information. I now dive into investigation mode!
