Khalid Sheikh Mohammed: One Man Terrorist Organization
The Washington Post reports that Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, whom the Americans suspected of being the ‘mastermind’ behind 9/11, has confessed to that terrorist attack and to some 30 other ones.
Now, you all know me as being quite hawkish, aggressive when it comes to the war on terrorist, etc., but these confessions seem to be tainted, to say the least.

Can’t agree more! I was reading the report on his confessions and sounds like he was behind every single terrorist attack!! Though I don’t have any remorse for this scumbag from Baluchistan, I should admit that I find it little hard to believe the whole story.
Is he trying to play the system so he can become a legendary ‘martyr’ in the eyes of those who adore such attacks against west?
Great! Now can we let W have his “victory” in the GWOT and declare that he is the dyed-in-the-flesh fusion of Harry Truman and Winston Churchill already?? Then maybe US taxes can be used for something else like rebuilding New Orleans, or working towards energy independence!
Finally, we know who shot JR…its about time.

It breaks my heart that this news can’t be the end ot it.
Of course, there are doubts about this guy’s veracity. The heartbreak is that, almost in the same breath, one has to wonder about the circumstances surrounding the confession.
Since the very concept of torture and ‘harsh interrogations’ entered our national life, every outcome has been tainted.
I hate it that I have to weigh the words of this, or another, scumbag terrorist in the context of the murky clouds of our detentions.
I’ve been robbed of the ability to trust, and it breaks my heart.
Who ever said he was singly responsible? He was responsible in the same way that a VP of operations at a corporation is responsible for what that corporation does. He was a planner, organizer and financier, not an operator.
