Good for the Brits! They’ve got more moxie than the other countries in Europe and the US put together. They are providing leadership for the rest of us, instead of endlessly bickering about the scientific evidence of global warming. May they always be our closest ally.

It will be very interesting to watch what happens in the UK. The conventional business wisdom is that such strong cutbacks would lead to an economic collapse. Having a brave country go first might prove that conventional wisdom wrong.
