Bravo for a brave voice. When Katrina exposed ugly truths about us and people said we must do something, again the opportunity to restart the movement forward for the black community was lost. They are stuck in the mindset of where the discussions left off in the 70s. No progress since then. And now the community wants to hang out Obama because they feel he is not black enough when a white guy and his wife are?
The Clintons never moved the black community or discussed the problems that have languished since the 70s forward. Obama would move it again and give purpose and new definition to the community. Move it past where it languishes in out of date thinking.
Good post, David. Obama is winning over black voters little by little for a reason. He’s a genuine voice for minorities.
