Fresh off their battle for the hearts of black Americans, Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama are about to go head to head for Jewish votes. The leaders for the Democratic presidential nomination in 2008 plan dueling receptions Monday when an influential pro-Israeli lobby group, the American Israel Public Affairs Committee, holds its major Washington policy conference.
The competing receptions are one more sign of the intensifying scrum between Clinton and Obama over key Democratic interest groups, highlighted Sunday by near-simultaneous civil rights speeches in Selma, Ala.
Hint to Hillary and Barack: if you want to win friends there serve Chinese food.

Only if they’re willing to deal with voluminous kvetching about the poor quality and the small portions thereof.
After watching Hillary affect a southern drawl I wonder what she will do to pander to her Jewish audience. Will she show up in a yalmika and chant …Baruch atah adonai … ( I helped my Jewish friends study for Bah Mitzvah)
Oi vey .
Oy. Joe, that was bad. Besides, you can’t get good Chinese in DC.
I saw Clinton do a Hillary-from-the-block routine in front of the NAACP. It was a pretty pathetic attempt at pandering. Obama is going to wipe the floor with her come primary time.
Yeah I’ve heard some good things about Barack Obama. I heard he had an Iraq de-escalation act. Even people who supported the Iraq war when it began, would probably now agree that it resulted badly, with civil unrest and violence still occurring in Iraq: so probably Obama’s policy is favourable, there. I heard he also wanted to improve the schools, and increase literacy rates, and all of that. I guess I’ll have to read what some of his detractors have to say, to learn the negative side. I’m trying to decide whom it would be best to vote for!
