Ann Coulter: Conservatives Will Stick By Me No Matter What (UPDATED) »

A “top” Iranian General disappeared in Turkey last february according to The Blotter. This has caused a lot of speculation: did he defect or has he been kidnapped? In either case, the story is incredibly significant considering that the general, Ali Reza Asgari, reportedly knows “sensitive information about Iran’s nuclear and military projects.”
Obviously a great, great catch in either case. We need all the information we can get. If there’s anything that becomes clear when one studies the problems with Iran it’s that there is (too) much we don’t know.
Hot Air has quite a long post up with some good links. Ace comments on the news as well, same goes for Wretchard at The Belmont Club.
This is the first comment at Ace, I couldn’t stans anymore.
Just another ranting moonbat(not).
While this general was active in the late 80′s and early 90′s, he has been retired for more than a decade. He may be knowledgeable about the overall nuclear scene, I doubt if he has specific information on current nuclear development. He is probably the closest the CIA/Mossad had to a source so he was grabbed. It sounds more like a Mossad operation than CIA. It’s probably too risky for the USA to do a grab and snatch operation given our need for Turkey as a strategic partner and our current tensions over the PKK and Kirkuk.
