I’m wondering why Hillary is being excessively criticized for a vote most other Democrats made and have since regretted. BTW, Hillary has nothing to apologize for, based on the information at that time, her vote for the Iraq war was correct.

    Laura,

Hillary’s not being criticized solely because she won’t apologize for voting for the war. She’s now trying to recast the reasons she voted for the war in the first place. She’s now saying that she believed at the time that it was right to give Bush the authority to go to war but that he misused this authority and should have done more to get the international community behind us.

However, this was not the tune Hillary was singing back in 2003. In fact, there is a YouTube clip of her meeting with Code Pink (a liberal activist group) in which she roundly rejects the idea that more support from the international community was needed and was adamant in support of going to war with Iraq . . . TWO WEEKS BEFORE WE WENT TO WAR.

Hillary, like Bush, just can’t seem to keep her facts straight as to why she wanted to invade Iraq in the first place. She wants to blame the aftermath of the invasion on Bush but refuses to accept any of the blame for authorizing the invasion in the first place. And now she’s changing her story.

    Not exactly inspiring.
