Yeah, abd maybe we’ll see the second coming of Jesus, too, who’ll run for president on the republican ticket. Damn, those ‘what if’ games are just too silly.

The article is all wrong. that is because in Jan. 09 we will be swearing in Barack Obama as president.

Jeb is dead. People are reacting against the name “Clinton,” which was attached to a president who left office broadly popular. “Bush” is an albatross.

OTOH the frontloaded primary arguments cited would argue for a possible Gore “white Knight” candidacy.

If we get to March with Clinton/Obama/Edwards having divided the primaries to date lie wounded and bleeding, a Gore Unity ticket might be a possibility.

I know it’s unlikely, but I’ve always been fond of speculative fiction.

Cali- With Clinton and Obama sniping at each other in the press, this would be a perfect moment for Gore to resurrect his political career. He’s been right about so much that Bush and the GOP got wrong. What about Gore/Obama in ’08? I must admit that while I was a fan of Bill, I share the distaste of a lot of Democrats for Hillary, and would not welcome the endless hashing and rehashing of Travelgate, Whitewater, and Zippergate.

While, I believe Jeb has no future as a presidential candidate, it is possible that he could be asked to be Romney’s VP if he wins the nomination. Jeb has already endorsed Romney, and still carries a lot of weight with the conservative wing of the GOP.

The reality of our TV-heavy campeigns is that for anyone to be a serious presidential contender, they need to start raising money now. Jeb isn’t, so unless he has some secret $100mil warchest, I think this is bunk.
