It seems to me that most candidates for President are really candidates for VP or the Cabinet: Dodd, Biden, Richardson, Vilsack, Huckabee…
If they can raise money then they may have a place in a future administration.
It does surprise me that most former candidates and elected representatives do not put more effort in reforming campaign financing, redistricting, open primaries.. the kinds of reforms that may actually improve the efficiency of government.
